11/09/2012: The water level in the city of Sukhothai, a few kilometers from the ruins of the ancient capital of the kings of Siam, continued to rise and reached on 11 September, 1 meter 30, a day after the breakdown of basic dykes protection. Torrential rain in Ayutthaya province, 80 kilometers north of Bangkok have damaged thousands of rai of crops in the district of Pak Hai. Noi River overflowed inundating several villages along a height of 30 to 50 cm in this district.

Lampang governor, Tawatchai Terdpaothai, said the disaster zones covers 81 sub-districts in the province seat — Mae Mo, Mae Tha, Mueang Pan, Wang Nuea, Ngao, and Chae Hom districts.
Over 15,000 residents were affected by last week’s natural disasters. Another 150 households and one school were impacted by flashflood Saturday.
